Create a Center-Pull Ball of Yarn By Hand
If you're into knitting—or if you regularly need yarn for your DIY projects—you know it can be tough to keep your yarn under control and tangle free. A center-pull ball of yarn eliminates a lot of the hassle, and it's really easy to make your own.Instructables user LeafingLight shares this surprisingly simple tutorial. Just take any ball or skein of yarn, and unravel it completely. Then, start wrapping it around the end of a thin dowel rod into a roughly spherical ball. Once all the yarn is re-wrapped around the rod, slip the ball off the end of the dowel, and you're good to go. Now, you shouldn't have to worry about the yarn getting stuck or unraveling too easily as you work. Check out the source link for the complete tutorial with plenty of photos. How to Wind a Center-Pull Ball of Yarn by Hand | Instructables
