From here, you can specify how far off the beaten path you're willing to go, and which types of attractions, historical sites, restaurants, and more that you're interested in seeing along the way. The map will then populate with pins to point out great places to check out during your drive.The level of granularity available is impressive. Only interested in seeing amusement parks and microbreweries? You can filter the map down to just these options. Every point of interest also includes a place page with a crowdsourced "Rad-O-Meter reflecting the views of the Roadtrippers community. If you're just interested in browsing, the site also includes some handpicked guides that curate points of interest into unique tours. Want to visit the shooting locations of every American-filmed James Bond scene? Build a Cheap, Great Looking iPhone 5 Dock Out of Lego
Just because Apple doesn't make an iPhone 5 dock doesn't mean you have to spend a bunch of money on one. The designers over on the Daily Brick show you how to build your own dock using nothing but Lego, and it actually looks pretty solid. The entire dock takes 42 Lego bricks, and you can buy the kit if you don't have the pieces. We've certainly seen our share of docks before, but this is a surprisingly solid looking (and incredibly cheap to build) dock for the iPhone 5. Tekiki Finds Great Deals on iOS Apps, Can't Get Shut Down
Apple is cracking down on app discovery services like AppGratis, but Tekiki is a new HTML5 app that circumvents the App Store to help you find popular apps that are temporarily free.Just head to Tekiki's website from your iPhone or iPad to get started. The interface isn't particularly beautiful; it doesn't even support the iPhone 5's screen size, but it does its job. The homepage shows you the most popular discounted apps, but you can also filter them by rating and genre to hone in on what you're looking for. Apps are roughly sorted by popularity within each category too, so it's easy to find the good stuff without digging through a ton of pages.
